I think students should be able to carry backpacks or bags in school. Some students have to walk a ways to get to class and if they have a backpack it saves an unneeded trip to your locker. Having a bag in school would save time for a lot of students. If the school is worried about it being dangerous then they could have metal detectors at each door, then there would be little to no worry about kids bringing weapons in the school. Kids in school should have the option to bring a bag with them to school. The school should find other ways to keep students safe besides just saying no bags allowed. Bags and backpacks have been a part of school for a long time.

I believe that students should be able to carry their backpacks with them if they wish. We have a very limited passing period in between classes and we are expected to go to our lockers/ get a drink/ go to the bathroom, before we go to class, in a three minute, or less, passing time. I also don't believe backpacks would be a hazard as long as you keep them under your desk/ on your desk/ on the back of your chair; It's really not that hard, or at least it shouldn't be.

I believe bags should be allowed in the class room. There has been countless times where I have seen someone be late to class because their locker is on the other side of the school. Allowing people to have bags will make it easier to carry everything around ,which will prevent you from having to go to your locker and being late. Also now that student are getting iPads ,which in my opinion are not well cased, I think that putting it in their back packs will keep them more protected from damage. Which, will cut back on damage to the iPads

Shut up. That's the most lame excuse I've ever heard. Feeding a bunch of lies to try to get yourself a couple extra minutes in between classes. If a person can't walk 100 feet in 3 minutes than that is there own fault. You could crawl that far easily in that amount of time. And being safe.... People could store weapons inside of their bag and no one would know. We could all be sitting in class while someone has a bomb in a bag and we would never know. Your argument is garbage and backpacks should be not allowed due to safety. Lame excuses and you clearly have no idea what you are saying, why did you even comment on this because it clearly was a waste of your time and you are not convincing everyone. Educate yourself next time son before you try to pull this off. Drop the Mic.

I believe that bringing my backpack to classes would make things easier. We only have three minutes passing time. In that time I'm supposed to be able to unlock my locker, use the bathroom or get a drink (if needed) and make it to class on time. I think that three minutes is kind of an unreasonable amount of time to get that done. If people think that it may be a tripping hazard, they should be careful of where they step. As for danger, if someone really wanted to bomb the school, they wouldn't hesitate to hid it. They would just do the harm that they planned on doing.

I agree with you. Three minutes is not enough time if you really wanted to go to the bathroom or get a drink. Going to your locker and to the next class takes about two minutes depending on if you have to go to your locker. With this rule of no bags in class teachers are becoming okay if you ask to go to the bathroom as soon as you get to class. Every teacher is different with that of course. I think bringing your bag or purse to class is alright as long as you around setting it in the aisle between desks. I also see that people can bring a knife or any weapon easier. It doesn't matter to me if we can or can't bring a bag to class.
